The Traveling Super 8 Film Festival is back and has joined forces with the Polyester Prince Productions to proudly present THE POLYESTER PRINCE SUMMER 2003 FILM AND MUSIC RAMBLING ROAD SHOW.
What began as an experiment has now gained critical mass and become a revolutionary movement of sorts. We have brought together an international group of filmmakers and film enthusiasts who are committed to keeping the beauty of Super 8 filmmaking alive and well. Now it’s time to take Super 8 filmmaking “on the road” with all it’s glory and splendor. Through an extensive network of supportive venues across the globe we are bringing the magical and adventurous nature of Super 8 filmmaking to a town near you. Not deviating from our past successes, all screenings will incorporate live musical accompaniment for certain films by my traveling companions (See Bios for names). Bingo will be played throughout the evening and glorious prizes given away. Watching movies has never been so much fun.
This summer’s tour is the 5-year anniversary of the POLYESTER PRINCE ROAD SHOW so we will be screening a sort of “best of” from the last 5 years. Past tours have included shows through North America, Mexico, Europe and Japan. In addition, the musicians will be performing a short musical set following the films.
Our hope is to deconstruct any barriers that may exist between filmmakers, the audience and the films that we view. By singing songs, playing bingo, and participating in other sordid activities we hope to incorporate the audience in all facets of the event. We do not sit and watch films. We become part of the screening process.

Hailing from the land of Lincoln, Soda left home at the tender age of 14 to join the rock and roll circus. After hitting the big time with his band, Wax, back in the 20th century, Soda struck out on his own, producing and recording a cavalcade of hits while still finding time to appear in such cinematic gems as Mallrats and Biodome with Kylie Minogue.
