POLYESTER PRINCE ROAD SHOW 2001

From the ashes and potholes of cinematic wonder, the spirit of "DIY" and guerrilla filmmaking continues. We are please to announce the fourth sometimes/annual traveling film festival on wheels. Our goal is simple......."To show films whenever and where ever possible....on sheets, on barns, on walls.......always different, always an adventure....all are welcome".

Due to an enormous turn out of wonderfully creative films the SUPER SUPER 8 2001 TOUR has grown and given birth to a second showcase entitled the POLYESTER PRINCE ROAD SHOW. The two shows will travel the world together, much like young lovers enraptured by the power of each other's charm.

The shows bleed over and cross lines of solidarity often and unexpectedly. We have incorporated work that will be shown digitally for the first time this year. All work submitted originates on film and the majority of work will indeed be projected traditionally (i.e. light through emulsion). However, there are some cinematic gems out there that have not been able to make there final way to celluloid so they now have a friend in Polyester.

This year we have 5 official tours planned: California (April), Pacific Northwest (May), Europe (July), Japan (August) and the Great Lakes (October). There will also be a number of spontaneous and often unannounced guerrilla film screenings along the way so keep checking back with us.......
