Polyester Prince Road Show

Since 1998, the Polyester Prince Road Show has brought an amazing and enchanting array of small format films to audiences around the globe. By incorporating live music, bingo, prizes and surprises, the Road Show transcends the silver screen to become an interactive community event. The film festival began in 1998 as a venue for super 8 filmmakers to show their work. Today it is a forum for short films of any medium.

Human Rights Film Festival

The Human Rights Film Festival is an annual presentation of documentary films highlighting national and global social justice themes. Basic human rights, including the right to peacefully assemble, the right to religious freedom, the right of political sovereignty and the right to life and liberty, are often taken for granted in Western industrialized nations. In the post-9/11 landscape, issues of human rights are increasingly complex and closer to home than ever before.

The Human Rights Film Festival began in 2002 as the UNA/UCI Human Frights Film Festival. It was organized by Polyester Prince Productions, the model UN at UCI, the Coastline Chapter of UNA and the UCI School of Social Sciences. It is now run by Polyester Prince Productions and films are shown at the Echo Park Film Center.

Youth Film Festival

Started in 2005, the Echo Park Film Center Youth Film Fest is an annual event that seeks to present a diverse and eclectic array of youth-produced documentary, experimental and animated films from around the world. It brings together young filmmakers and dedicated youth arts educators to share images, ideas and knowledge and provides a forum for young filmmakers to use the power of cinema in order to tell their stories and change the world. All films are made by filmakers 19 and younger.
